PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Prior to the beginning of the special Selectmen's Meeting, the Town Administrator, Lynette Eastman, led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our country.

NEW BUSINESS:

a. Insurance Quotes: There were three insurance quotes submitted to the Selectboard for consideration. They are as follows: Norton Insurance at $12,074.95, Maine Municipal at $13,889.00 and Cross Insurance at $12,893.00. Motion by Todd and second by Rita to accept the Norton quote at $12,074.95. Much discussion ensued between the Selectboard and the representatives of the insurance companies involved. Employee bonding was an issue. The employees are not currently bonded by our insurer. The Selectboard voted 0 (zero) for and 4 against the motion to accept Norton. Another motion was then made by Todd and Second by Rita to accept MMA's proposal. The vote was unanimous.

b. Durwood Parkinson call: The Administrator had been in contact with Mr. Parkinson regarding Ed's Stuff. He thinks that we may be able to get Ed to clean up his mess based on the "Dangerous Building Statute". He recommended that our CEO, with Ed's permission, enter the building and take pictures. CEO, Ken Desmond got Ed's permission and took the pictures. There were comments from the public, Ken Desmond, Planning Board member, Jason Shaw and the Selectboard. It was determined that the information and pictures we have should be forwarded to Mr. Parkinson asking his help in handling this matter.

c. 44 Carlton Point Rd: Neighbors of Mr. Stephen Wood approached the Selectboard with concerns and questions regarding Mr. Wood's right to be able to build on the site at 44 Carlton Point Rd. Attached hereto are copies of correspondence between the Administrator and the neighbors that explain what they are concerned about. There were differing opinions of how our ordinances should be interpreted as would apply to this matter. There was a motion by Todd second by Rita to send the information regarding 44 Carlton Point Rd to Durwood Parkinson and request his help with this matter as well. The vote was unanimous.
