SELECTMEN'S MEETING MINUTES

ATTENDANCE: Dale Chadbourne, Crispin Connery, David King, Rita Sturtevant and Todd McPhee

PREVIOUS MEETING'S MINUTES: Motion by David, seconded by Rita, to approve the minutes of the January 18, 2000 Selectmen's Meeting as printed. Passed unanimously.

ROAD COMMISSIONER'S REPORT: Jack Shaw advised that he did not know of any road concerns. Lloyd also advised that he had not received any complaints concerning the roads. Todd asked Jack to annotate future bills that are to be charged against the Road & Bridge Account with the location of the projects.

FIRE CHIEF'S REPORT: The Chief met earlier in the evening with the Selectmen at a budget workshop so no further report was given.

NEW BUSINESS:

Pedestrian Underpass Snow Removal Contract: The following bids were received for FY 2000-2001 winter maintenance on the Pedestrian Underpass:

Paul's Yardworks	$7,200.00
Jack A. Shaw & Sons, Inc.	4,500.00

Motion by David, seconded by Dale, to award the contract to Jack A. Shaw & Sons, Inc. at a price of $4,500.00. Passed 3-1.

Special Town Meeting: On the recommendation of the Planning Board Chairman, Allen Greene, the Selectmen decided to postpone the Special Town Meeting tentatively scheduled for March 1, 2000.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Old Town House Project: Lloyd reported that an additional $1,000 donation has been received. The total of the donations is now $2,075.00. David advised that the Town will be receiving another price proposal for the roof repair in the spring.

CODES ENFORCEMENT OFFICER'S REPORT: Bill Longley reported that he had been contacted by the Woolwich School Committee regarding the zoning status of the property located at Map R-06, Lot 71. Bill advised that the property was zoned General Purpose. Bill also advised that Jason Fickett may be in the process of removing his condemned mobile home on the Meadow Road.
